Due to Covid-19 and the UK government’s announcement that all schools will be closed from Friday 20 March 2020, all Kyudo practices with the West of Scotland Kyudo Society are suspended until further notice. We are also not taking beginners at this time. Please check back regularly for updates or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
General practice information
Practices are held most Sundays from 11:00am to 2:30pm at Prestwick Academy and most Wednesdays from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at St Kentigern’s Academy. Please check the schedule below to confirm practice dates.
Beginners and people interested in Kyudo
We request for beginners to first contact us by email to arrange a time to observe a practice before the next beginners intake and discuss Kyudo. All beginners must have arranged and been to observe a practice before starting to learn Kyudo with the Society. Our beginner intakes are usually in September and January.
In addition to practising in Prestwick and Blackburn, members of the West of Scotland Kyudo Society will occasionally travel to Manchester for additional training and instruction from our instructor, Malcolm Bagnall, 6th dan Renshi, of the Manchester Kyudo Group. Dates for travel to Manchester are marked on the schedule and are usually on Saturdays from 8:30am – 12:00pm.
