Deadline to register for Beginners Kyudo Course A

明けましておめでとうございます! Happy New Year from the West of Scotland Kyudo Society!

Our first Beginners Kyudo Course will be starting on Wednesday 7th January 2015. There is still time to register, however we have a limited number of places available.

The deadline to receive registration forms and fees for Course A is Tuesday 6th January 2015 at 5:00pm. Both must be received in time in order to be confirmed a place on the course.

Course B starts on Wednesday 18th February 2015 and there are still places available. E-mail westofscotlandkyudo@gmail.com to request a registration form.

Two important announcements: Glasgow practices and new Prestwick times

New practices held in Glasgow starting January 2015
We will soon be hosting introductory Kyudo classes in the West End of Glasgow at Partick Burgh Hall beginning January 2015! More information will be posted soon. To register your interest please e-mail westofscotlandkyudo@gmail.com and keep checking our website for more updates.

New practice times in Prestwick
The West of Scotland Kyudo Society will continue to hold its main practices at Prestwick Academy on most Sundays. As of 23 November 2014, our practices will now start at 11:00am and finish at 2:30pm.

New grade holders from Paris shinsa

Congratulations to three members of the West of Scotland Kyudo Society who have passed their examinations for shodan in Paris on 13th July 2014!

Members attending the International Kyudo Federation Seminar in Paris had the opportunity of receiving three intensive days of kyudo instruction and training while practising alongside kyudo practitioners from around the world.

Practice schedule updated through mid-July

The group has recently gained two new members this month! We would like to welcome them to the West of Scotland Kyudo Society.

Our practice schedule now takes us through mid-July with a few dates of no practices due to holidays and seminars. As always, the schedule remains tentative. Enquiries regarding observing practices and about our schedule can be directed to westofscotlandkyudo@gmail.com.

Experience Japan 2014 in Edinburgh

The West of Scotland Kyudo Society has been invited for its second time to participate at the Experience Japan event in Edinburgh organised by the Women’s Federation for World Peace Scotland.

We are all delighted at the opportunity of presenting on kyudo once again in Edinburgh. Last year we had a great time talking to people about kyudo, learning about other aspects of Japanese culture and meeting other members of the community interested in Japan.

Come and join us to learn more about kyudo, the group and Japanese culture!
